Reports suggest that this "summer" has been the wettest since 1914. While this has played havoc with any plans of holidaying in the UK, the most devastating impact has been the damage that the ensuing floods have had on homes and businesses across the country.

The latest ABI (Association of British Insurers) figures show that the total cost of floods in June and July is approaching >3bn with almost 60,000 claims (45,000 household and 14,500 businesses).
